Readmission agreement initialled with Albania -criticism of Turkey

Brussels, 06/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - A readmission agreement was finalised between the EU and Albania on 5 November. European Commissioner Antonio Vitorino announced the news on Thursday to the JHA Council. This agreement includes the readmission by Albania of its nationals who are illegally residing and intercepted in the EU but also illegal immigrants of other nationalities that have transited through their territory.
