EPP to propose amendments on software patents

Brussels, 22/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - German EPP MEP, Joachim Wuermeling announced that he would be submitting amendments on behalf of his group on Tuesday on the issue of software patents. Although he is against the principle of across the board patent protection, he does consider that it is possible to protect traditional inventions which may have been discovered through information technology.
