Brussels, 22/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - the European Commission has decided to add three designations, "Clementine del Golfo di Taranto" (Italy), "Mela Val di Non (Italy) and Clementinas de las Terras del Ebro (Spain) to the list of agricultural and food products that are already protected. The Clementines will benefit from protected geographical designations, whereas the variety of Italian apple will receive protected origin status.
