ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) insurance

The French group AXA has acquired the American life insurance group MONY (exclusive network of 1,300 agents with a turn-over of 2 billion dollars in 2002) for 1.5 billion dollars. This operation will allow the French insurer to increase its distribution capacity of financial products in the US by some 25%.
