EU Military capabilities and relations between EU and NATO on agenda of informal defence meeting on 3 and 4 October in Rome

Brussels, 22/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - Implementation of a planning unit for EU military operations without NATO support should be one of the main themes covered by the informal defence meeting to be held on 3 and 4 October in Rome, mainly thanks to the convergence of views on this point reached at the weekend in Berlin between French President Jacques Chirac, German Chancellor Gerard Schroeder and British Prime Minister Tony Blair (see following article).
