Lamy urges in favour of one Commissioner per country and European corporate tax

Brussels, 22/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - As a guest on Sunday of "Le Grand Jury LCI-RTL-Le Monde" programme, Commissioner Pascal Lamy said he felt that "at least one European Commissioner per country is needed". Explaining that the size and the proportion of the European budget should be increased above all to guarantee the collective financing of major infrastructures, Mr Lamy said: "I believe a European tax is needed".
