22/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - the President of the European Commission, Romano Prodi, declared during a seminar of the Socialist group at the EP, "After years of trotting out the same idea of imagining that everything should be privatised, it is time to reconsider the limits between state and markets". He added that, "the private sector is not necessarily more capable or the most adapted to providing services that are in the general interest in all sectors".
