Eight Member States referred to Court for failure to implement Directive on biotechnological inventions

Brussels, 11/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to refer eight Member States to the European Court of Justice, as they have still not implemented the directive on legal protection of biotechnological inventions (deadline 30 July 2000). The countries accused are: Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Sweden.
