Brussels, 11/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared Siemens AG's acquisition of Alstom's small/medium gas turbines and industrial steam turbines for EUR 1.1 bn. Such turbines are used for mechanical drive applications and power generation.
