EU doubts the Haitian government's resolve to ensure professionalism of police

Brussels, 11/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Italian Presidency has issued the following declaration on the situation in Haïti on behalf of the European Union:

"The European Union is very concerned at the resignation of the acting head of Haiti's national police force, Mr Jean-Robert Faveur, and the circumstances surrounding it.
