BEUC thanks Health Council for rejecting direct consumer information on prescription medicines by pharmaceutical laboratories

Brussels, 06/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - Commenting on the results of the last Health Council on the revision of the directives on pharmaceutical products (see EUROPE 3 June p 9), the European Union Consumers Association (BEUC) thanked Ministers from the Fifteen for having thrown out the Commission proposal on lifting the advertising ban on certain prescription medicines directly addressed to consumers.
