Parliament requests update of action plan on socio-economic consequences of sector restructuring

Brussels, 06/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - In its adoption of the report by Giovanni Fava (PES, Italy), the European Parliament feels that the November 2002 action plan on the socio-economic consequences of the restructuring of the fisheries sector is past its best, as last December, Council attenuated the effects of the reform of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP).
