Health ministers support setting up European inspection centre for tcontagious diseases but some see this a "head of network"

Luxembourg, 06/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner David Byrne on Monday examined the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), whose development is not yet an issue of concern in Europe. He once again called for Ministers to support his project for setting up a European centre for monitoring and inspecting contagious diseases. Ministers only gave a degree of support to the project, because some of them again expressed preference for a centre that would act as "Head of network"....
