Security Council resolution critical of Rauf Denktash

Brussels, 15/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Monday the UN Security Council adopted a resolution by unanimity (1475) regretting the "negative approach of the Turkish Cypriot leader" Rauf Denktash during the meeting on 10-11 March in The Hague, which sank the Annan plan on resolving the Cyprus problem. The Security Council confirmed its support for the "carefully balanced" plan put forward by the UN Secretary General and is requesting him to remain available for helping find a solution to the...
