31/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - EU Ministers for Home Affairs stated their favourability, during the informal JHA Council in Veria, towards the introduction of biometric data in visas and residency permits for third countries, as well as in European passports. Before presenting a proposal to do so, Commissioner Vitorino invited tem to consider the technological and practical implications of these measures. We will return to this in our next edition
