Brussels, 31.03.2003 (Agence Europe) - As reported in EUROPE of 29 March, p. 10, Commissioner Mario Monti and French finance minister, Francis Mer, signed an agreement on Friday (which now needs to be endorsed by the College of Commissioners) on the gradual phasing out of the state guarantee that the Caisse des dépôts et de consignations ("CDC") had extended in 2001 to its newly created subsidiary, CDC IXIS.
