Results of second reading in Council - A solid and economical budget enabling EU to prepare for enlargement, says Ms. Schreyer - Better information for Parliament on Council's foreign policy priorities

Brussels, 26/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - As EUROPE mentioned yesterday (p.8), the finance ministers of EU Member states decided on second reading on Monday evening on the draft budget 2003 of 99.454 billion euro in credit appropriations and 96.896 in payment appropriations (or an increase of 1.3% in payments in relation to the 2002 budget), having overcome differences with the European Parliament, especially regarding the EU's external actions.

The agreement allows to finance external actions...
