26/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - By adopting the report by German Christian-Democrat Jurgen Zimmerling, the European Parliament called on the Commission to ensure that the researchers from candidate countries benefit from fair treatment in relation to those in Member states when implementing the 6th research framework-programme. The Commission is urged to pay special attention to SMEs and the development of links between research structures and industry.
