26/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic have for the past four months been taking part in Media Plus and Media training programmes. Thanks to special arrangements allowing full participation in all Media 2002 activities, these countries presented various projects of which 18 were selected with a view to financing for a total of EUR 2.5 million. The 18 projects covered all chapters of the Media programme, namely development, promotion, distribution and training (for details, see http: //europa.eu.int/comm/avpolicy/media/index_en.html). In 2003, Lithuania, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Cyprus will be joining the Media programme.
