Brussels, 26/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - As we pointed out earlier (yesterday's EUROPE, p.7), Monday's Energy Council resulted in a political agreement on the legislative package relating to liberalisation of the electricity and gas markets, covering a proposal of directive aimed at speeding up opening of the electricity and gas markets and a proposal of regulation on the conditions for access to the network for the trade in electricity.
