08/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - "I think that the European Commission ought to launch an early warning to France…Finance Ministers are obliged to support such a warning, if not, the Stability Pact will loose all credibility". This is the statement made by the President of the Liberal group at the European Parliament, Graham Watson, who also believes that the European Commission should have the authority to send such warnings without needing the approval of Finance Ministers.
