EU praises work of OAS and facilitators

Brussels, 08/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - On 3 October, the Danish Presidency made the following declaration on behalf of the EU: "The EU applauds the work of the Organisation of American States (OAS) and its Facilitators (Sir Shridath Ramphal for Belize and Paul Reichler for Guatemala) in helping the Governments of Belize and Guatemala to have within their grasp a mutually acceptable and honourable agreement to resolve their territorial differendum.
