Kreissl-Dorfler in favour of emergency vaccination - Commission puts off to 16 October adoption of new proposal for a directive

Brussels, 03/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the rapporteur of the EP's temporary committee on foot-and-mouth disease, Wolfgang Kreissl-Dorfler (German, PES) , spoke out in favour of emergency vaccination for cattle and asked for the setting up of a stricter import policy to avoid the outbreak of this disease. The temporary committee will debate his conclusions on 10 October and adopt the final report on 18 November. The debate in plenary is scheduled for December in Strasbourg. Mr....
