03/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - On 2 October, the European Commission decided not to raise any objection against an aid scheme by the German Land of Rhineland North Westphalia for helping municipalities develop and improve their freight transport infrastructure. It considers the planned measure conforms to the European transport policy set out in its White Paper on Transport. The total budget of the aid amounts to around EUR 4 million.
