Brussels, 03/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The EP Committee on Women's Rights and Equal Opportunities organised, on 2 October in Brussels, a public meeting on the theme "Building a Democratic Europe - Women's Convention". Meeting under the chairmanship of Greek Socialist Anna Karamanou, the committee heard a message from the Chairman of the European Convention, Valéry Giscard d"Estaing, calling on it to explain to the largest number of Europeans "what is essential in our work".
