Council appoints 222 members of Committee of the Regions - inaugural plenary session on 6 and 7 February

Brussels, 24/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Council has just appointed the 222 new members of the Committee of the Regions and their 222 deputies. These European Union local and regional elected representatives will meet for the first time on 6 and 7 February. They will elect their President and Vice-Presidents, as well as the chairs of the political groups, and national delegations.
