24/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - According to the accelerated procedure, the European Commission has given the go-ahead to the acquisition of the American textile group Fruit of the Loom by Berkshire Hathaway Inc, also American and present in real estate, insurance and investment operations. The Commission noted no particular problem that could affect competition.
