Commission grants 32 million euro in humanitarian aid to Democratic Republic of Congo

Brussels, 24/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission adopted a global plan for 2002 providing for humanitarian aid of 32 million euro for the population of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The aid will be managed by Echo, the EU's humanitarian office, and implemented on the ground by its partners (NGOs, United Nations organisations, Red Cross).
