The American software publisher INFORMIX is to split into two separate companies to be floated on the stock market. The first, INFORMIX SOFTWARE will devote itself to databases and should weigh between $780 and 800 million this year, the second, whose name is as yet unknown, will regroup electronic commerce and decision-making solutions, with income of between $120 and 130 million.
