27/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe welcomed the "significant progress" made by Croatia in respecting the commitments and obligations it made when it joined the pan-European organisation in 1996. While encouraging the Croatian authorities to continue in the reforms so far undertaken, it has decided to close the monitoring procedure regarding the country.
