- Germany: the German Government has announced that it was committed "to the privatization of the whole of DEUTSCHE TELEKOM and to reduce its stake not to 25% but to 0%". This decision comes within the framework of DEUTSCHE TELEKOM's takeover of the American firm VOICE STREAM. Part of the American Congress, indeed, considered that the purchase of an American firm by a company held to the tune of 25% by a foreign State should be totally prohibited.
