Luxembourg, 27/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Court of Justice considered that tolls levied by Austria on the Brenner motorway in Tyrol are discriminatory and contrary to the Community directive on goods transport by road.
In its judgement this week, the Court notes that the toll rate per kilometre charged on the motorway is higher when the lorries make a "full itinerary" (between Innsbruck East or West and the Italian border) than when lorries make a "partial itinerary"....
