ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

The private German Bank DRESDNER BANK is in talks in view of acquiring the American investment bank WASSERSTEIN, PERELLA AND CO for EUR 1.73 billion. This operation will enable DRESDNER BANK to reinforce its position in the mergers and acquisitions advice sector in the United States where WASSERSTEIN presently holds the fifth position.
