13/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has appointed Fabrizio Barbaso and Jean-Luc Demarty Deputy Directors General in DG Agriculture. Mr. Barbosi, 51, has been a European official since 1976, and has therefore spent his whole career within the Institution, Mr. Demarty, 48, arrived at the Commission in 1988 as member of President Delors' Cabinet.
