Brussels, 13/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Chair of the Constitutional Committee, Giorgio Napolitano (Democratici di sinistra), announced on Tuesday that his committee, during its meeting next week, will hear former European Commission President Jacques Delors (on 18 September at 15h00), who is to speak on the subject of the "major institutional solutions for tomorrow's Europe". We shall thus follow the debate on the future of Europe initiated with our hearing, in July in Strasbourg, of German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer, he remarked. Furthermore, the constitutional committee will, on 19 September, hold an exchange of views on the Intergovernmental Conference with the personal representative for Germany at the Preparatory Group of the IGC, Günter Pleuger (at 9h00) and with Council President Hubert Védrine (at 16h30).
