ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

The Belgian SOLVAY and CPC - CHEVRON PHILLIPS CHEMICAL will jointly set up a new unit for the production of high density polyethylene (plastic) on the Texan site of CPC, in which they will both hold 50%. The total value of the investment has not been revealed. The "plastics sector belonging to SOLVAY has an annual turnover of USD 2.7 billion.
