Strasbourg, 07/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - By adopting, by 237 votes, against 230 and 43 abstentions, a joint resolution by four political groups (EPP-DE, V/ALE UEN and EDD), the European Parliament feels that "therapeutic cloning" (which involves the creation of human embryos for research purposes) poses a deep dilemma, crossed with no return in the field of research and is contrary to the policy adopted by the European Union.
