NEWS and ZVB, the two main Austrian magazine groups, intend to merge and jointly edit 12 titles including three general dailies and nine specialised reviews. ZVB will hold 30% of the new group, NEWS retains 70%. The group should have an annual turnover of EUR 145 millions.
