Brussels, 07/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has crystallised the guidelines concerning the future of the ECSC on which a political agreement of principle has already been reached between the Commission itself, the Member States and the European Parliament. The Treaty on the European Coal and Steel Community is, as everyone knows, to expire on 23 July 2002.
