The Swedish equipment manufacturer ERICSSON has announced the signing of two contracts for a value $550 million with the Chinese telecommunications group GUANGDONG CORP. The contracts relate to the construction of a fixed new-generation telephony network and the enlargement of the mobile phone network in the province of Guangdong.

This company will be a strategic addition to LOGICON, division of NORTHROP GRUMMAN specialised in defence systems valued at USD 1.5 billion.
