ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) retailing

France's CARREFOUR is considering investing 1.7 bn zlotys in Poland (some 430 million euro) in 2001-2002. CARREFOUR POLSKA, whose turnover in 1999 was 1 bn zlotys, hopes to carry that to 1.7 bn in 2000 and 2.5 bn the following year.
