ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) agri-food

The Danish group DANISCO (DKR 28 bn in 1999 with a workforce of 18,000 in over 40 countries) has begun talks with the Belgian frozen vegetables producer ARDOVRIES in view of selling it activities of its subsidiary DANISCO FOODS in the frozen vegetables and ready-made dishes sector. The turnover of the sector being out up for sale is some DKR 1 bn, out of a total turnover for DANISCO FOODS of 2.2 bn.
