Adoption of single programming document "transitional objective 1" for Highlands and Islands (United Kingdom)

Brussels, 18/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission adopted the single programming document (SPD) Objective 1 for the Highlands and Islands of Scotland region (United Kingdom). This region, which benefited from Objective 1 for the 1994-1999, no longer fulfils the criteria to benefit from this aid (GDP per inhabitant below 75% of Community average).
