ABX LOGISTICS, a division of SNCB - SOCIETE NATIONALE DES CHEMINS DE FERS BELGES, has acquired for an undisclosed amount the Portuguese company TPT - TRANSPIEDADE TRANSITARIOS (turnover of EUR 6 million in 1999), active in the same sector. With this acquisition, ABX becomes one of the main Portuguese transport and logistics companies. It had already acquired 34% of TPT indirectly, through the acquisition of SAIMA AVANDERO in Italy (see EI of 29 September 1999).
