Brussels, 17/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The EU's High Representative for Cfsp, Javier Solana, welcomed the freeing, after 12 weeks of detention by the group Abu Sayyaf, of the German hostage, Renate Wallert. Mrs. Wallert whose state of health had deteriorated these past few weeks, was handed over to the Philippine chief negotiator, Roberto Aventajado.
