The Franco-Belgian group HAMON (equipment for electrical systems and anti-air pollution systems) has taken over the Italian firm MARIANI BATTISTA (large chimneys for power plants and industry: 22 million euro turnover in 1999 with 140 employees) from the civil engineering group IMPREGILO for 3.6 million euro. This acquisition will take HAMON'S turnover for its "chimney" division to 55 million this year.
