EU and Japan to adopt declaration defining future partnership during 9th Summit to be held in Tokyo on Wednesday

Brussels, 17/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Union and Japan will adopt a "joint declaration" giving the shape of future bilateral relations on the occasion of the 9th EU/Japan Summit to be held in Tokyo on 19 July, under the chairmanship of Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori, French President Jacques Chirac and European Commission President Romano Prodi.
