Green light for acquisition of Hyder by Western Power Distribution (water and electricity)

Brussels, 17/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - As briefly mentioned in EUROPE of Saturday 15 July, the Commission authorised the acquisition of the Welsh water and electricity company Hyder by Western Power Distribution Ltd. Formed in view of the acquisition of Hyder, Western Power Distribution Ltd is controlled by the American public services holding company The Southern Company.
