TOTALFINAELF signed an agreement in view of acquiring stakes in the company TRANSCANADA PIPELINES in its natural gas transport networks in Argentina, Chile and Brazil for USD 440 million. Thus the French oil group will acquire 27.2% of the company GASINVEST that controls TRANSPORTADORA DE GAS DEL NORTE, 46.5% of the gas pipeline GASANDES of which it already holds 10% and 21.8% of TRANSPORTADORA DE GAS DEL MERCOSUR.
