The Japanese bank NOMURA and the British electricity company WPD - WESTERN POWER are fighting for the Welsh producer HYDER (water and electricity). The British launched a hostile take-over of GBP 464 million on HYDER while NOMURA, which already holds 18.7% of the capital on the issuing of its offer of USD 402 million said it was ready to make a higher bid.
